Diana Kutlow - Hands of Peace
Empowering Youth as Leaders of Change

Hands of Peace empowers young Israelis, Palestinians and Americans to raise their voices as leaders of change. Each summer in San Diego & Chicago, 48 teens, ages 15-17, gather from Israel, Palestine and the U.S to engage in dialogue, peace-building and interfaith activities. The teens are hosted by local families and for most of them, this is their first encounter with 'the other'. Over three weeks they discover their shared humanity and responsibility to build a peaceful future. With a legacy of 17 years in Chicago and 7 in San Diego, over 700 alumni have gone on to serve in the government, NGO's, media, education and international relations. Hands of Peace believes the future depends on the leadership of the next generation. Clubs in District 5340 contribute to and support this program.
