Our speaker on the 15th was Dr. Russell Low, a California-born 4th generation Chinese American physician who is the great grandson of Hung Lai Wah, a Transcontinental Railroad worker and Tom Ying, a rescued child slave.  Russell told the very personal story of his great grandparents and their life in California during the building of the railroad, and early 20th life in San Francisco.  He also made copies of his book, "Three Coins," available to our members.  We thank Russell for his time and wonderful life story.

We also had the opportunity of welcoming new member Katie Hafer.  Katie is a banker at Banner Bank in Point Loma.  She is pictured here with Prez Karin, sponsor Leon, and Membership Chair Gus.
