Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery is a federal military cemetery which dates back to the days of the California Republic. Fort Rosecrans is named after William Starke Rosecrans, a Union general in the American Civil War.  Join us and a docent from the Veterans Affairs to learn more about this historical landmark in our backyard.

See attached map - Park in front of the cemetery on your lefthand side as you approach the cemetery.  Enter the gates and meet Greta Hamilton who will direct us to a meeting area followed by a tour of the cemetery.  Bring your brown bag lunch to eat during the presentation.

Marwa Abdalla teaches undergraduate courses in the Department of Theater, Television, and Film and the School of Communication at San Diego State University as well as in the Department of Communication at UC San Diego. Her courses focus on foundational concepts in communication, media, and cultural studies, the histories and spread of mis- and disinformation, and the ways minoritized families and communities navigate racism and discrimination.
